We run in-depth searches with competitor information, organograms, and global coverage as well as localised quick recruitment processes for urgent, junior or straightforward hires. Experienced in the following recruitment techniques:
- Meeting in person
Given we work by targeted niche, we aim to meet all relevant candidates in person – we will meet any financial economist who calls us. We are always planning ahead and it helps to know the personality of candidates and read their research
- Telephone head-hunting
Clients are welcome to suggest the firms they would like to see candidates from, if these are not known to us we will approach them. We start wide and narrow down this way too
By knowing our candidates well and having strong relationships at all levels of seniority, referrals are easy to come by
Our database is small and targeted, it is also ‘live’ with all market moves followed, we have insight into salary and bonus levels across the investment universe
- Detailed knowledge
We have placed candidates into financial roles who never have been looked at by outsiders, by understanding skills in detail we recognise those who can make the next step but are often overlooked by non-specialist recruiters. We also place people from non-conventional backgrounds in to market and economics consultancy
- Top Ranked
We use surveys, particularly for the sell-side, to discuss the best available candidates in the market. Further value added comes from our opinion on who should be included in the rankings but is just ‘under the radar’. We also have our own confidential survey methodology and rankings
- Out of the market
There are always strong candidates out of the market temporarily who are often recommended to us and we maintain contact with them as with all potential candidates.
- We use, but never rely upon Advertising
Typically good candidates turn up, but for the wrong roles
- Pan-Europe, global
A large proportion of our placements are cross-border. There is also a potential cost Arbitrage when moving candidates into financial hubs. There are some skills so specialist that searches need to be as broad as possible. We regularly work across Europe and the Americas, and occasionally in HK and Asia

We always deliver a substantial long-list with detailed supporting info of your choice, such as market maps, organograms and salary surveys.
Exclusive Contingent Search
This allows a focused approach and results in a strong selection of CVs, without the structured approach and supporting information of a retained search – but financially a risk-free search.
We use this approach to follow on where other firms have failed in searches or where hires are junior, or very straightforward to make.
